If you have central air-conditioning, it is important that the screen/storm door closes rapidly. This is not so much to increase the overall door insulation from the air gap between the storm and primary door, but to reduce the amount of outdoor air leaking into your house. This is extremely important in the summer to cut down the humidity inside your home for comfort and efficiency.
Check the adjustment of the door closer. The temperature change from winter to summer will effect its operation. You should adjust it each summer and winter when the weather has stabilized. Don't do the adjustment in the fall and spring when the temperatures are moderate.
