Hardy Perennial. This is a lovely native plant that is well-adapted to the perennial garden. Flower spikes appear in late spring and are covered with bright yellow lupine-like flowers in racemes six to eight inches long. This is a large plant, so give it room to grow in the back of your border. A fine addition to any border. In warm areas partial shading is recommended.
