Hardy Perennial. Useful for rock gardens, borders or as a cut flower. The leaves are reminiscent of those of a strawberry plant. Branching stems just above the foliage bear pink flowers with red centers throughout the summer. Thrives in well-drained, fertile soil and full sun. Protect from direct sun where summers are hot. These plants are not particularly long-lived and to propagate, sow seeds outdoors in spring or autumn. In addition, you may divide in the spring or early autumn. Seeds should not be stored as they are not viable for very long. Prune at end of summer.
