Hardy Perennial. A long-blooming favorite is the Perennial Cornflower. They are easy to grow and one of the loveliest violet-blue or pink flowers for your garden that you can find. Cornflowers like full sun, but do not bloom well if allowed to dry out. Large, showy flowers with spidery deply fringed flower petals, stand out against the dark green leaves. Other bloom colors include the cultivars 'Rubra' which has dark red flowers and 'Alba' which has white blooms. You will need to divide these plants every 2 to 3 years to keep them vigorous. Will rebloom in fall if cut back after first blooming period.
