Hardy Perennial. Also known as Ox-Eye Chamomile this hardy perennial makes an excellent choice for the cutting bed. Abundant, daisy-like, yellow flower heads appear on erect stems above fern-like, finely toothed and aromatic foliage. Golden Marguerite prefers dry, relatively poor soil and will get too leafy if it is over-fertilized. Propagate by division or seed in spring and summer and keep in mind that stem cuttings will root easily in early spring. Place the cuttings in vermiculite and cover with a plastic bag to retain moisture. Set out your new plants in late spring or early summer. Removing faded flowers in the growing season will benefit your plant and promote new growth.
