Perennial. This family of plants is named for the hunter of mythological fame, Adonis. They are grown for their large yellow flowers which appear in the late winter and early spring. May be grown from seeds sown in the spring or fall or you may propagate by division. These plants are dormant by late spring, so make sure you plan for this when planting and provide filler plants to take over when these fade. The cultivars 'Flore-plena' and 'Fukuju Kai' are recommended.
