Hardy Biennial. This little beauty is a dwarf in this genus of flowering annuals, shrubs, biennials and perennials. It thrives in full sun and a rich, well-drained soil, growing quickly to produce its showy flower spikes which appear in mid-summer. A related species, E. plantagineum 'Blue Bedder', is recommended as another good performer.
