Hardy Biennial. Bell-shaped, bright blue, white, rose, lavender, purple or pink flowers float above toothed, bright green foliage. Excellent for borders and cutting. Prefers cool nights and light shade in hot areas; neutral to alkaline, moist, well-drained soil. Seeds sown in spring will bloom the following spring and summer. Slugs may be a problem. Tall varieties may require staking to keep them from falling over.
