Half-hardy Annual. Zinnias are colorful and easy to grow. The more flowers you cut, the more they will bloom. Effective in massed plantings and combined with other annuals, such as marigolds and snapdragons. Zinnias are available in a range of sizes, making them a versatile addition to the border, also. Single or double blooms, from very small to whopper sized. Check your seed packet or seedling instructions for the plant height information. Heat and drought tolerant. 'Thumbelina' is a popular dwarf variety, while 'Peter Pan' is a medium-height variety with slitly curled, double flowers. 'Cut & Come Again' is a good cut flower.
