Half-hardy Annual. Bushy, spreading perennial usually grown as an annual. Variety of flower types: single or double, some ruffled. Floribunds come into bloom from seed faster than grandifloras or multiforas and offers plentiful single flowers; grandifloras have flowers 4" across; multifloras are smaller and bear more flowers per plant. Blossoms are trumpet-shaped, with a mild, sweet scent and the bloom colors include pink, red, purple, lavender, white, yellow or blue, solids and bicolors. Leaves are fuzzy, sometimes slight sticky, this helps repel pests. Will withstand light frost. This plant does require excellent drainage. Pinch back after first blooming for bushier growth and more flower bud production. Feed monthly with balanced fertilizer. Shelter from wind and hard rain. Light is required for seed germination.
