Hardy Annual. A very popular annual for use as a bedding plant and is most effective when grouped as a mass planting. The blossoms shimmer with a satiny finish to their petals and will flutter in the slightest breeze. The roots do not like to be disturbed. Will perform best if sown directly in the flower bed. Grow in full sun and well-drained soil and your Scarlet Flax will bloom in abundance in return. 'Rubrum' is pictured.
