Flowers are a deep violet, pink or white and are carried in spikes above the purple-veined green leaves. Flowers are long-lasting and followed by bright purple seed pods with edible seeds. A sun-lover like most tropical beauties. Please note that this plant does not like to be transplanted; sow seeds directly into garden bed.
