Half-hardy Annual. Coleuses grow rapidly. Makes an excellent container plant and also great for underplanting. Coleuses are prized both indoors and outdoors for their variegated, colorful leaves in red, green, pink, red, maroon, white, purple and yellow. Small, spikes of flowers appear late summer. Pinch off blooms and growing shoots of young plants to encourage bushier foliage. Prefers moist but well-drained soil and partial shade for the brightest leaf color. May be susceptible to mealy bug, aphids or whitefly. The 'Wizard' series grows well in full sun.
