Hardy Annual. They grow rapidly from seed and provide masses of color in flower beds if planted in rich soil and full sun. This is a beautiful cut flower that is long lasting. Bloom colors are vivid and a dark ring within the petals is the hallmark of this distinctive variety. 'Court Jesters' contains particularly brilliant bloom colors. Plants do best when the seeds are sown directly into the flower beds in March or April. 'Rainbow Mixture' is another recommended variety. This plant does better in cool regions such as Pacific Coast areas where temperatures rarely exceed the 80's (F).
