Hardy Annual. A slender, upright annual from the Mediterranean needs warm weather and a long growing period. It has delicately colored flowers that are reminiscent of a thistle bloom in shades of yellow, pink or lavender as well as white. Petals are narrow and grow outward in a sunray pattern. Fragrant blooms are held above deep gray-green leaves and are a valuable addition to your garden border or sunny spot. Remove the faded blooms to encourage further flowering. Seeds perform best when sown outdoors in the bed in which they are to grow, but indoor sowing may be done in the early spring. 'The Bride' is a pure white variety with fragrant flowers.
