Hardy Annual. Clusters of blue flowers appear on branching stems in spring and early summer. Use in the border or as an edging plant as it has a compact, low form. Literally covered with blue blooms, this choice garden plant blooms best when nights are cool. 'Blue Angel' grows to about 9 inches high and is a good performer. Removing faded flowers and regular watering will promote a better blooming habit. 'Dawn' is a variety with various bloom colors that will attract bees. In warm climates these are sometimes grown as perennials.
