I have a 1995 Heil 3.5 ton unit that is leaking at the condenser. The home warranty insurance will replace it with a new Carrier condenser unit and filter/dryer or give me $1400. The tech doing the replacement claims a the interior coils need to be matched and must also be replaced. The Carrier site strongly implies the air handler and condensor must be matched.
Which is right?
