We recently got a load of firewood and after stacking it we've noticed tiny piles of what appears to be sawdust that is super-fine, almost like talcum powder -- not granular like saw-mill sawdust. Is this evidence of termites or some other insect (emerald ash-borer?) even tho there is no sign of the things crawling around ANYWHERE near or under any of the wood? This is Wisconsin, and i've never heard of anyone in this area having a problem with termites. Any advice or info appreciated. ( the info found on-line only mentions chunkier wood waste from insect borings) Thanks
