I am constantly hearing my roof make noise while I'm in the house. Should I be concerned. I have a half cathedral ceiling in my living room and most of the noise is heard there but I do hear it in my bedroom also.
To give you some background info, the outside wall of the living room was attacked by termites and the brick fireplace was replace with a 9 ft sliding glass door. I personally inspected the interior beams in the cathedral ceiling and saw no termite damage on them. We had the termite company out here 3 times to spray as the chimney and wall were removed.
Also, I had the home inspected last May for the My Safe Florida Home grant program. The inspector found no deficiencies and said all I needed was to brace the gable ends and add hurricane shutters to survive most level of winds. The home has survived two category 3 hurricanes with no damage at all.
Is the home just settling or should I have this looked at? I've never had this problem before and don't know wha
