Our fireplace worked fine for 6 years, then we had problems with the pilot going out and strong fumes emitting from it. It was cleaned by a professional fireplace tech. He was unable to keep the pilot on or could not identify the source of the fumes. I am having problems getting other companies to even "look" at it. Of couse, the 10 year warranty is no good, since the manufacturer is out of business.
I would appreciate any help, I find that my fireplace is even more efficient than my heater.
