Dear Mr. Dulley,
I have a 18 years old gas furnace : YORK, model P1UC.
It was installed since I built my house and just has the following problem :
- From time to time, it is puffing ( banging ) when it start, especially at night even the burners and filter are clean. The technician who services my furnace (clean burners, filter etc... cannot solve that problem even he has adjust the gas pressure of the manifold according to the technical manual. ( He set the pressure at 3.1 or 3.2 but not at 3.5 inches water column as said in the manual ,before the pressure is less than 3 inches.)
-How to solve that problem?
- Is dangerous these puffing (banging) phenomenon?
- Do I need to replace the furnace ?
Thank you for your help.
