I have a doublewide moblie home that I want to insulate with straw bales. I used to have an article that gave detailed instructions from the foundation to the roof. I scanned it to my computer and burnt it on to cd but I now have a different computer and can't get the info off to preview.
I have two basic questions: What kind of foundation do I need to pour? What if anything to I need to treat the straw bales with to repel insects and rodents and to keep the moisture out?
I live ten miles from the nearest town and am surrounded by open fields. It is always 10-15 degrees cooler out here than it is in town all year round. I do not have much for wind block so while I am waiting for my trees to grow I need to do something to get my electric bill down as I have been paying anywhere between $500 and $900 a month every winter. Please Help!!!
