Why do I use a file format that requires Acrobat Reader instead of just my browser?
Using Adobe Acrobat Reader files is the only current method on the Internet to transfer a fully-formatted document that can universally be viewed and printed on every type of computer made. When you print the Update Bulletin from your computer using Acrobat Reader software, it will look exactly like it does when it prints from my own computer here at my home.
It is virtually impossible to provide the same text wrap, properly positioned illustrations, shadows, shading, etc. with a standard HTML format that your browser can open. Also, Acrobat Reader files are much less bytes than equivalent HTML files with lots of graphics, so they download much faster to your computer.
Acrobat Reader files are very commonly used on the Internet now. All of the IRS tax forms that you download are in Acrobat Reader format as are General Electric, Amana, Whirlpool, Westinghouse, etc. downloadable appliance owner's manuals.
Even if you do not download an Update Bulletin from my web site, Acrobat Reader is an excellent program to have and it is FREE from Adobe.
